Okay, here's the deal.
Right now in the TEAOW&S universe, it's May, 1998. I gotta move this puppy along, and, I do not want to let another Winter Solistice get away without posting the fic I wrote last year!
So, I'm skipping.
After you read "Movie and a Dinner", I'm moving the series ahead to first Spike's Birthday fic (which I don't have the name of here at work nor the inclination to wait for my page to load to check it out) in which Willow gives him the collar with the padlock on it (it plays a role in the future), then "Turkey, Pumpkin Pie and Spike". Next up, is "Hanukkah", which I wrote last year, but couldn't post due to all the angst. For that story to make sense, certain things have happened.
Everyone now knows that Buffy and Angel are together. He's still prick boy, but not as mean and nasty as he has been in the past. I will write the stories in which both Giles and Xander find out the full truth (including Giles finding out about Willow's giving herself to Angel), but I don't have time now. They aren't vital to the main plot line and will take place in the summer of 1998. Xander and Cordelia are still together and going strong, as are Willow and Spike.
You can assume that all the interludes I wrote mostly last summer (1998) take place in this gap I'm jumping. Lots of happy smut and dating, including happy smut for Buffy and Angel.
Spike is still sleeping with Dru and Willow's accepted it, but the two women rarely see each other. Spike's two lives are kept very separate.
That's about to change....
Okay, make sense? I know a few people wanted to see Willow continue to angst over Dru and her decision regarding Angel, but I'll never get to winter if I keep writing angst. I'm sure she did angst, but it was all 'off camera' so to speak, did not do any harm to her relationship with Spike, and she got through it.
Her parents have met him and only semi-approve, but that doesn't stop them either.
Buffy's mom is still clueless. Why? I like it that way.
I also plan to write the first meeting between Angelus, Willow, Buffy and Spike. Should be a doozy and probably happened over the summer.
